Support for Individuals
At Neuropirates, we offer both ADHD Coaching & project development support for neurodivergent creatives.
ADHD Coaching
1:1 ADHD Coaching tailored to creative minds & creative industry workers.
Bold minds.
Rebel Hearts.
If you have ADHD (or suspect that you might), coaching can help you identify strategies, supports and accommodations that suit you. Things that help you navigate life (and your to-do list) in ways that support personal and professional wellbeing.
An ADHD brain is an amazing things to have- it’s just not always a convenient thing to have.
Coaching isn’t about changing yourself, it’s about finding ways to shift perspectives, patterns and approaches to allow you to be yourself, while still living in a world (and often working in an industry) that can present specific challenges and barriers for brains like ours.
Frequently Asked Questions
-
We offer personalised ADHD coaching for individuals that focuses on empowering personal and professional wellbeing.
Each coaching session lasts 60 minutes and is carried out over zoom.
-
Getting started is simple. Reach out through our contact form and we’ll get in touch to schedule a discovery call. These are free, and last about 20 minutes.
It’s a chance for you to ask any questions you might have about the process, and to get a read on if you feel like the coach is a good match for you.
There’s no pressure to follow on to book a block of coaching- we very much DO NOT believe in the hard sell. You’re the only one who can decide if things feel like the right fit.
-
Coaching can adapt to your needs and your goals, but it can help to have a sense of the jumping off points that we can start from.
Most Neuropirates clients start from one of three places:
1) Understanding myself and ADHD: This can be helpful if you’ve more recently been diagnosed, or realised that you have ADHD. We focus on exploring what ADHD is, and where it might be showing up most for you- helping to identify where strategies, supports and accommodations may have the biggest impact day to day.
2) Toolkit development: This can be useful when you’ve known that you have ADHD for a while, and want to take another look at what’s working, what might not be, and where you might want to experiment with new approaches and strategies to tackle specific challenges, or put in place more formalised accommodations or supports.
3) Project focus: This can be helpful when you have a specific personal or professional goal in mind. We build in accountability and support to keep you focused and on-track and to manage the inevitable curve-balls that come with working through a project plan.
-
We’re driven by empathy and curiosity, and each coaching connection is tailored to the client’s individual goals and challenges.
Like all good coaching should be.
What makes Neuropirates coaching a bit different is the combination of our knowledge of both the arts industry, (and what it’s like to be a self-employed/ freelance creative worker within it), and our links to the ADHD academic research community (we’re nerdy about both ADHD brains and neurodivergent identity).
-
We work with adults (aged 18+) and specialise in working with creatives, and self-employed/ freelance creative industry workers.
This is for two reasons:
1) If you have an existing creative practice, this is often a great place to source strategies and approaches from. The creative process is often experimental, circular and iterative, and can look very different to traditional ‘planning’ frameworks. Already having a creative practice, whether or not this is something you do professionally, is an amazing resource when it comes to exploring ways of working and planning which can feel more natural for ADHD brains.
2) The creative and arts industries can offer many benefits as a working environment for people with ADHD, however they can also present specific challenges. Having a coach who is familiar with the contexts and challenges of the industry can be a helpful short-cut to building connection and shared understanding about your work patterns and how they can impact wellbeing.
Importantly, neither of these is a requirement for accessing ADHD coaching with Neuropirates. If you feel like we might be a good fit, just get in touch, and we can chat about what might work best for you in the discovery call.
-
Absolutely not. In fact, you don’t even have to be totally sure that you have ADHD.
A formal diagnosis can be very useful to access certain types of supports, like medication.
But coaching can be helpful even if you don’t meet the threshold of day-to-day impairment that’s required for formal diagnosis, if you’ve decided that you’d rather not go through the process, or if you’re currently on a very long wait list.
If you’ve ever thought ‘hmmm, that sounds a lot like my experience’, then you might find real benefit in exploring some of the strategies, supports and approaches that people with ADHD often benefit from.
-
We care about making coaching affordable, and set our rates significantly lower than current industry standard.
For individuals who are self-funding, the initial block of 6 sessions costs £390, with follow-on sessions after that at £65 each.
When the funding is coming from an employer, access-to-work, or is an access cost connected to a grant-funded project, then it’s £85 per session, and we adjust the amount of sessions in the block to match what was awarded.
Client Reviews
“Clare has been an enormous help for me. She provided help for me with a creative project and a work situation. She is very attune to your motivations and unravelling what behaviours you're engaged in, and can provide expert advice and tools based precisely on what you need. She is kind and understanding in what can be a vulnerable process, and leaves you feeling empowered to tackle any challenges you have. I would highly recommend anyone who is seeking guidance to use Clare's services. She is a font of information regarding neurodivergent tendencies and behaviours, and you truly feel understood during the process.”
— Laura“Clare has been an exceptional coach. Our weekly sessions have made a huge difference to my day to day functioning and overall ability to work with my condition to move forward. She is incredibly knowledgeable, empathetic and solution oriented. Our sessions have been a welcome space to discuss issues but most importantly solutions. I cannot recommend her highly enough. The coaching has made all the difference.”
— Steven“Clare’s fun and practical approach has helped me build realistic habits around sleep, food, and self-care — small changes that have made a big difference to my everyday life. Working with Clare feels like chatting with a friend who is on your side and really gets the challenges that come with living with ADHD. Clare also gently guides things so I never feel lost or pressured. I've learned a lot about my strengths too and always feel in a good mood and inspired after a session!”

Project Map Making
Having an idea and turning it into a project plan are two very different things.
When you’re neurodivergent, your ideas may not arrive in neat boxes, logical sequences, or the order that an application form expects. You might know exactly what you want to make happen, but find it much harder to explain the how, why, when and how much in a way that makes sense to outside eyes.
Project development support can help you shape an idea in ways that make sense to you first, then translate it to outside eyes — without losing the thing that made it feel exciting in the first place.
We can help you to get to grips with the practical formats that stand between an idea and the resources to make it happen: funding applications, project plans, budgets, pitches and proposals. Together, we can work out what they’re actually asking for, what information you need, and how to communicate your ideas clearly to potential partners, commissioners and funders.
If this sounds like something that would be helpful for you - get in touch via the contact form, and let’s start a chat about what might help.
