nEUROPIRATES

Where Creative enquiry meets neurodivergent experience.

Inspired by neurodivergent lived experience as a source of knowledge and creative possibility, Neuropirates sits somewhere between a research space, coaching practice and creative studio.

Fuelled by curiosity, and led by evidence, empathy and collaboration, our mission is to support neurodivergent ways of thinking, knowing and creating.

Supporting neurodivergent

Thinking …

Coaching, mentoring & project development support

One-to-one ADHD coaching and creative mentoring for neurodivergent people who want space to think, untangle, explore and develop.

Whether that's understanding how your brain works, navigating something that feels stuck, or turning the beginnings of a creative idea into something you can actually do.

Exploring neurodivergent

Knowing …

Research, education & knowledge exchange

We deliver accessible, evidence-based talks and workshops about how neurodivergent minds work, and collaborate with organisations to develop creative, engaging approaches to communicating and activating research insights.

We believe evidence, empathy and accessibility can amplify one another and we're particularly interested in what happens when academic research, lived knowledge and creative practice are given space to play together.

Empowering neurodivergent

Creating …

Creative enquiry, collaboration & co-production

Neuropirates develops artist-led and participatory projects exploring neurodivergent lived experience through creative enquiry, collaboration and co-production.

We work with artists, researchers, organisations and neurodivergent communities — experimenting with different forms, methods and ways of making together.

Featured Project

Because small sensory moments shape how we move through the world. Because noticing them - and sharing them - helps others do the same. Because creative attention is a form of connection.

Glimmers is a creative exploration of positive sensory experience, developed for Hapus Wales.

Through public participation, and conversations with artists and creative practitioners working across multiple forms, the project celebrates the everyday sensory experiences that bring moments of pleasure, connection and regulation, and explores how creative practice can help us to lean into our personal sources of glimmers - and maybe even make more of them.

The project activates research insights through a creative, participatory and co-production model, which led to the production of a short film, and a downloadable zine.
